DermaQuest launches new Glycolic Acid Resurfacer with Stem Cells
Officially launched at IECSC in Las Vegas, the new DermaQuest Glycolic Acid Resurfacer with Stem Cells features the latest in anti-ageing technology – plant stem cells derived from Lilac Leafs – as well as a unique formulation of advanced anti-aging and skin-soothing ingredients.
While human stem cells are slow to regenerate (as epidermal stem cells age and die, signs of aging, such as wrinkles and fine lines, occur) and not currently used in cosmeceutical products, plant stem cells are readily available and can help replenish the skin, fight common signs of aging and continuously regenerate. Plant stem cells have been shown stimulate human stem cell growth and preserve existing cells, and they have also been shown to improve skin tone an texture and reverse the signs of aging such as fine lines and wrinkles.
The Glycolic Acid Resurfacer with Stem Cells is a professional-only product, and is available in 30%, 40% and 70% formulas. The products increase cellular turnover, provide antioxidant support, assist with the release of comedones, and stimulate the production of collagen, elastin and glycosoaminoglycans. In addition to plant stem cells, the new products feature anti-inflammatory and soothing plant extracts such as Meadowsweet and Bilberry, exfoliating Sugar Maple and Sugar Cane, as well as collagen-boosting Gotu Kola and the amino acids Tyrosine, Arginine and Lysine.
